Day 2

Dear World Historians,  I went home sick today so please complete the following with your partner.

1.  Post 5.5 notes
2. Get Alexander Leader from Ch 5 google site
  • Complete the leadership characteristic description column.
  • Discuss cause and effect of the 6 events below from 5.4 reading
  • Evaluate Alexander the Great as a leader.  Did he live up to his name?  
  • Complete the third column of the leadership handout using the events below.

Rate Alexander as a leader.  Did he live up to his name?
Use the following actions to evaluate him.

1.  He led soldiers across Hellespont to Anatolia
2.  He launched a surprise attack against Persians near Issus.
3.  He rejected Darius' peace settlement of a third of his empire.
4.  He lauched a phalanx attacked followed by a calvary charge at Gaugamela.
5.  He lead his army into Indus Valley.
6.  He poured out drinking water offered to him in the desert.
