1.  Begin Christopher Columbus Debate (you need to take notes on the Columbus document you already have in notability-get that out now)

Day 3

1. Quick review on Chinas exploration and isolation.
2. 19.3 and Japan's isolation.
3. Prepare your part for CC debate on day 1 & 2 of next week.

This treaty was intended to solve the dispute over newly found land after Christopher Columbus returned from his discoveries.  Portugal emerged with an enhanced position by gaining a larger portion of South America (Brazil).  Spain had gained control of most of the New World.  The Treaty was not strictly enforced especially when the King of Portugal was also the King of Spain.  Spain and Portugal governments did not have enough power or control to maintain these lines. 

Day 1

1.  Review Ch 17.3 and 17.4
     a.  Teach your section to your partner
     b.  Work on active listening.  Do NOT just copy your partner's notes.
2.  Create notecard for midterm (needs to be done by end of class today).
3.  Play review game if time.

Dear World Historians,

1.  Please complete Ch 17.4 today in class.  You can do CN or the GR in shared World History docs.

2.  Use the blank study guide (find this under "midterm review" in google docs at the bottom of the page) in class to work on your assigned portion and add it to the google doc over the weekend.  Working with google docs as a class doesn't work on campus. 

You have plenty of work to do this period so please use your time wisely!
