3.  Read Ch 18 TT for an overview.

4.  Break into Ch 18 Groups...RANDOMIZE
Ottomans-where? when?
Safavids-where? when?
Mughal-where? when?

PART 1:  Using the book create a +/- T chart with one other person from your assigned large group.
+=All of the reasons that made the empire GROW
-=All of the reasons that made the empire decline
INCLUDE DATES FOR YOUR 10 EVENTS

PART 2:  Create a graph
The Y axis should be 0-10
The X axis should be dates

PART 3:
Look at your +/- and decide which ones were the most significant factors that lead to the RISE AND FALL of the society.
Label 10 as the MOST significant
Label 0 as the LEAST significant

PLOT your points on the chart.

PART 4:  JIGSAW
Break into groups of 3.  Make sure that you have each empire represented.
Have the author take a screenshot of their +/- chart and xy axis and email the group.
Put these in your notes with notes from the presenter.

PART 5:  FISHBOWL
Which empire was the strongest?
Which empire was the weakest?
Which empire left the greatest legacy?
