Located in Istanbul, Turkey this was first created as a Greek basilica and housed relics.  It was destroyed during riots and then rebuilt as a church under the orders of Justinian.  After Justinian Sultan Mehmet (Ottoman) transformed it into a Mosque.  Bells, altar and some other Christian artwork was removed and replaced with Islamic features like calligraphy, four minarets and geometric decor.  It is now a museum.  Hagia Sophia was the world's largest cathedral until 1520 (when Seville Cathedral was built).

A person should be punished only for actions, not thoughts.
Any law that seemed unreasonable or grossly unfair could be set aside.”
